Black Label Invitational 2025 +08 Recap

Black Label Invitational 2025 +08 Recap

Black Label Invitational is one of Australia's premier automotive exhibitions, bringing together some of the cleanest and most unique builds from across Australia. From JDM to Euro, and Stance to Track-focused setups, the show offers an impressive cross-section of automotive culture. Apologies for the average pictures, I took mostly videos and these are screenshots from the videos.

This was my third time attending the show and the fourth time having cars I’ve worked on featured. This year, I had a hand in preparing around eight cars that made it into the event. Previously held at Flemington Racecourse, Black Label has recently moved to the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre at South Wharf, offering a central location for attendees.

This year’s event marked a noticeable step up in both quality and diversity. From dedicated track-spec Porsches to aggressively low static builds, every car had a distinct character. You could tell that each owner built their car with a clear purpose and personal vision in mind.

I was fortunate enough to have several builds I worked on showcased again this year. Below, I’ll break down some of the key work I did leading up to the event.

It’s always a great experience seeing such a high calibre of builds gathered under one roof. If you're planning to attend Black Label as a spectator, a quick tip — arrive about an hour after doors open to skip the long lines. You’ll likely be able to take in everything you want to see within two to three hours.

For owners aiming to get their car into a show like this, my biggest advice is to focus on the details. Choose parts or a colour scheme that sets your build apart, and make sure your fitment, paint, and bodywork are on point. With the right attention to execution and vision, it’s more achievable than you might think to have your car showcased at an event of this level.

If getting your car into a future Black Label show is one of your goals, feel free to message me through email or on IG. I’d be happy to chat about your build and help map out the best path forward to getting you into the show!
